Schools and Chartwells K-12 Food Service Department welcome you and your student to see whats cookin' in school cafes.

Refreshed Menus - Coleman Schools and our food service staff have been hard at work to bring the foods you want to see. We are excited to offer you the freshest products, while continuing to commit to wide options and healthy choices.

Coleman Comet Café - For our incoming 7th graders, you will see many new opportunities to purchase our ala carte offerings. These extras include items, such as bottled water, or other flavored waters and beverages & healthy snacks, and are not included in the regular price meal. A price list will be posted for easy viewing. Also, they will have different “stations” that they may choose their lunch from. On any given day, there are as many as 5-6 different lunch options, and all are available to all lunch status (free/reduced/paid). Don’t forget about our Universal/Free Breakfast program offered everyday to all students, in the café. We hope you are as excited to “go to lunch” and breakfast as we are to have you.

Meal Pricing - Elementary full pay lunch meal price is $2.50, and $2.75 at secondary level. Reduced meal pricing stays at $.40 daily. Our “universal breakfast” (free) program remains the same, and is available to ALL students, as long as they choose a complete meal with all components. Many students have been taking advantage of this program and getting their day off in a nutritious way, ready for learning. Please talk with your student to make sure they participate in this wonderful program. Coleman

Second Chance Breakfast- We now offer Secound Chance Breakfast at the Jr. Sr. High School during the secound passing time. Students are only allowed one free breakfast per day. Therefore stundents can enjoy breakfast before school or during Second Chnace Breakfast. However students are able to purchase a second breakfast, but it will be charged at ala carte price.

Schools Website Information - Don’t forget about the online free & reduced applications, www.lunchapp.com (to pay online). The Free and Reduced Lunch application can be found at www.colemanschools.net. Remember a new application must be sent each year, unless notified otherwise. You may also check your student’s history and balance by accessing the Meal Magic site found there as well. You will need your student’s ID number: most secondary students know this number, or call for that information to our Food Service Department, at 989-442-1997 or khoernlein@colemanschools.net

Free Gift Card!!! - Each family will get one entry for a chance to win a $50 gift card, (One per building) when a Free & Reduced application is correctly completed and returned. Please complete the application even if you don’t believe you will qualify. The federal government uses the number of applications approved to determine Title 1 and other grant funding which, in turn, supports your child’s academics. We will be drawing for these prizes by mid October. Any student not turning in an application by October 14, 2019, will return to full pay status on October 15, 2019!!! (Applies to any student with previous year benefits) Please contact us with any concerns or questions!!
