Every Kindergartener at Coleman Elementary has the opportunity to experience AgKindergarten. Through an $8000 grant awarded by the Midland Community Foundation and Dow Corning and the planning of Kindergarten teachers Mrs. Brownlee and Mrs. Davis, each student gains experiences related to Agriculture and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) topics which are incorporated into daily lessons through mentor texts and manipulatives.  They also participate in Ag-Based field trips and farm-focused materials for play and exploration during free time.  In addition, students visit the AgriScience barn weekly to meet the animals and participate in Ag lessons with Mrs. Zwemmer, AgriScience Instructor.
